    The Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce, located in downtown Portales, New Mexico is actively involved in partnership with its members, promoting the growth and well-being of the community. Among those partnerships are Eastern New Mexico University and Cannon Air Force Base’s 27th Special Operations Wing. Among the attractions in the area are Blackwater Draw Museum, Blackwater Site National Historic Landmark,
    the Dalley Windmill Museum and Oasis State Park.

  • Business of the Month Business of the Month


    Spra-Green, Inc. was named Business of the Month for October by the Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce. The Curtis Breashears family has been in the fertilizer business in Portales since 1962. In recent years as agriculture has changed, they’ve taken bold steps to reshape their business by adding a line of lawn and garden products. They are recognized for their resiliance in adapting and marketing new products and ways of doing business. Ambassadors presented the award to Curtis and son Kevin Breshears and their family and employees at their bagging site near Portales.

  • Volunteers of the Month Volunteers of the Month

    Portales Junior High student Kirsten Hardin was named Volunteer of the Month for October by the Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce. Hardin was selected because of her volunteer work with Portales MainStreet recently. She’s done everything from cleaning and weeding to helping out at events and around the office. Ambassadors, along with MainStreet Executive Director Sandy Vigil surprised Hardin with the award in her PJHS classroom.
