    The Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce, located in downtown Portales, New Mexico is actively involved in partnership with its members, promoting the growth and well-being of the community. Among those partnerships are Eastern New Mexico University and Cannon Air Force Base’s 27th Special Operations Wing. Among the attractions in the area are Blackwater Draw Museum, Blackwater Site National Historic Landmark,
    the Dalley Windmill Museum and Oasis State Park.

    Every Day is Beautiful in Green Valley

  • AeroCare Ribbon Cutting AeroCare Ribbon Cutting

    AeroCare air ambulance service held a ribbon cutting event officially marking the opening of its newest base located at Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales. Bobby Sanchez Regional Director for AeroCare and RGH CEO Kaye Green did the honors. Green said air ambulance service is essential to a rural hospital and she was pleased with the new partnership.   • Business of the Month Business of the Month

    Legacy Monuments was selected Business of the Month for December by the Chamber. Located at 905 W. 18th St., the business recently helped United Way of Eastern New Mexico by allowing sign space on their building to advertise the 211 Service maintained by United Way. The company provides headstones and memorials of all kinds with state-of-the-art engraving and personal hometown service. They have also helped in placement of the pavers placed twice a year at the Roosevelt County War Memorial. Owned and operated by Kyler and Ashley Silva the family has three generations in the monument business.

  • Volunteer of the Month Volunteer of the Month

    Legacy Church in Portales was named Volunteers of the Month for December by the Chamber for donation of six thermal imaging cameras to the Portales Fire Department. Accepting the award from Chamber President Ashley Silva and Executive Director Karl Terry was Pastor Abnner Ortiz. The church, located at 820 W. 18th St. has made several other donations of the cameras previously. The device allows firefighters to locate people trapped in a fire or ejected from a car accident at night.
