• The Chamber

  • The Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to strengthening the economic vitality, community spirit, and long‑term prosperity of Portales and Roosevelt County. We champion local businesses, celebrate community traditions, and foster meaningful connections that make our region a vibrant place to live, work, and visit.

We support entrepreneurs and business owners through hands‑on small business training, dynamic Business Table Lunches, and hiring events that help build a strong local workforce. Our Chamber is also deeply committed to community celebration, coordinating signature events such as Heritage Days, the America 250 Celebration, the Peanut Festival, and a full lineup of holiday festivities including Little Miss Merry Christmas and the Lighted Christmas Parade.

Our partnerships extend beyond business. We proudly support Cannon Air Force Base by welcoming new airmen and their families and working closely with the Portales Military Affairs Committee. Through Leadership Portales, we invest in developing the next generation of community leaders, while publications like The Portales Profile and our weekly Events Memo keep residents informed and connected.

The Chamber plays a key role in the Roosevelt County Fair by coordinating the Merchants Building, offering valuable exposure for local vendors and organizations. Our Ambassador Committee celebrates community milestones with ribbon cuttings, grand openings, and monthly awards recognizing outstanding businesses and volunteers.

We are also home to the Hispanic Chamber Committee, which uplifts Hispanic‑owned businesses, strengthens cultural representation, and promotes inclusive economic development throughout the region.

As the official Visitor Information Center for Roosevelt County, we welcome visitors, newcomers, and residents with maps, brochures, recommendations, and local insights—ensuring everyone feels at home the moment they walk through our doors.

Together, we are building a stronger, more connected Roosevelt County. If you’re ready to grow, engage, and make an impact, the Chamber is here to help you thrive.
