    June 1- June 30 Goal 30,000 diapers
    Why Diapers??
    Healthier Happier Babies
    Equals Less Stressed Parents
Equals Less Child Abuse and Neglect
    •   1 in 3 U.S. moms reports suffering from diaper need.
    •   Diaper need is lack of sufficient supply diaper to keep an infant or toddler dry & healthy.
    •   A typical baby needs 8-12 diapers a day can be up to $120 a month.
    •   Diapers are not covered by social welfare systems like WIC or food stamps.
    •   5.3 million children under 3 live in poor or low income homes. LOCALLY, in Curry and Roosevelt Counties 2,000 little ones under 4 years old live in poverty.
    •   Daycare centers require an adequate supply of diapers be supplied by parents or the child cannot stay with the center. Daycare Centers don’t allow cloth diapers.
    •   Families are sometimes forced to use one diaper a day for their babies.
    •   These babies can experience diaper rash, infections, and other health problems.
    •   Babies who cry excessively are the most likely to be victims of shaken baby syndrome.
    •   Mothers who are not able to provide an adequate supply of diapers feel guilt, anxiety, and an increased level of stress.
    •   Diaper banks help meet diaper need by providing diaper to nearly one million infants and toddlers.
We would love it if Companies /Youth Groups / Churches would partner with us on this project!  Please consider supporting this event with a little friendly competition between businesses or churches as to who can collect the most diapers.  Join two great sponsors Citizens Bank and Xcel Energy who have started us off with support for 4,000 diapers!
