United Way Celebrates New Volunteers
[UNITED WAY CELEBRATES NEW VOLUNTEERS]
[Clovis, NM], [September 22, 2014]
United Way of Eastern New Mexico is excited to announce that Virginia McReynolds (a SCSEP volunteer), Destiny Williams, and Christine McNally have joined the United Way TEAM. These three ladies have started working part-time in the office United Way helping with various programs (like 2-1-1, Charity Tracker, and Medbank). Destiny is a Clovis High School Senior and Christine is a community volunteer.
SCSEP, Senior Community Service Employment Program, is a program that allows Goodwill to pay clients to work at local non-profits with no cost to the non-profit. Virginia is working at UWENM for 20 hours a week, at no cost to United Way. She was specifically brought on board to assist in answering 2-1-1 calls and so that Medbank, a program that provides discounted prescriptions, can still be offered to United Way clients.
Without volunteers, United Way of Eastern New Mexico would not be able to offer these services to our community. For more information about volunteering at UWENM call 2-1-1.
