• Legacy Monuments opens Portales showroom

     

    PORTALES, NM—The Roosevelt County Community Development Corporation (RCCDC) is pleased to announce the expansion of a local business in Portales. Legacy Monuments LLC, a full service memorial creation service featuring granite monuments and headstones have recently expanded and opened a sales showroom location at 905 West 18th Street. The sales location features a customer showroom and offices for the company. Customers can get a firsthand look and feel of the products Legacy Monuments has to offer.

    This family owned business began in 1972 in Mountainair, New Mexico by Marvin Fulfer. Forty four years later, in 2016, Mr. Fulfer’s grandchildren have taken the business over and set roots in Portales. Mr. Fulfer serves as a senior partner. The business is operated by Kyler and Ashley Silva, Auron and Randi Silva, Rauly Puebla, and Marvin Fulfer. They serve the entire state of New Mexico and west Texas.

    Monument styles include uprights, grass markers, bevels, and slants. They offer a number of colors to choose from. Their services include cement foundations custom made to fit the monument, or a pre-existing monument, on-site lettering, and monument/headstone restoration. According to co-owner Kyler Silva, "Legacy Monuments takes great pride in their products and workmanship, and always strive to do a little extra for their customers."

    The RCCDC was established in 1998 and was formed to preserve, expand, and promote the diverse regional economy through proactive engagement in business expansion and retention,

    entrepreneurial development, business recruitment, and community-oriented marketing for the City of Portales, Eastern New Mexico University, Roosevelt County, its citizens, and students.
