• Chamber Letter to Members COVID-19

    March 19, 2020
    Letter to Members

    Members:

We are living through a very difficult time right now as our country struggles to contain the COVID-19 virus. One of the most important things to all of us right now is access to reliable information about closures, public orders and other directives.

The Chamber is working hard to make sure we convey that information as quickly and accurately as possible. As fast as things are moving the best place for you to access that information is on the news tab of our www.portales.com website or by friending the Roosevelt County Chamber on Facebook. All of our news stories automatically post to our Facebook page so that may be a convenient way for you to receive timely notifications. We will continue to send mass emails to our member reps containing information specific to the crisis our business community is facing.

At this point most events and meetings in our community have been postponed or cancelled, that goes for our Chamber meetings as well. That list of cancellations is too long now to merit posting here. Many offices and businesses are also closed or on altered schedules so call ahead before you go somewhere.

As of today, our office is open and we’re answering phones but some of our staff is working remotely or altering hours out of health concerns. Rest assured that the Chamber Board and myself are in close contact and working hard to make sure our members’ business interests are represented. If you have a question or an idea please call me on my cell number directly at (575) 309-7541.

    Karl Terry
    Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce
    Executive Director
