At present there are 1,025 veteran markers throughout the cemetery (according to the cemetery list). If what we found in section North A holds true, around 400 of those will need to be raised. The total could be much higher, as graves in some sections are worse than in other sections. We will continue to walk other sections so that we will have a better number of graves that need work before the first work day. This project may take quite a while to complete - we hope to have a work day one Saturday per month until all is done.
The first work day is Saturday, Nov. 6, We will meet near the front gate of the cemetery at 8:00 that morning. Karla Eaton, and others from the VFW post will serve lunch to everyone.
