USDA’s Farmers to Families Program coming to Clovis
The Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico is partnering with Sarah Farms of El Paso, Texas, to
bring the USDA’s Farmers to Families Program to Eastern New Mexico and West Texas.
Through this program, the USDA is partnering with farmers, ranchers, specialty crop producers, food
processors and distributors, and non-profit organizations to ensure that all Americans have access to
the fresh and wholesome food they need during the COVID-19 national emergency.
On Friday June 12, Sarah Farms will provide one box (two gallons) of milk per household with a
maximum of two households per vehicle. Distribution will begin at 9 a.m. at North Plains Mall in
Clovis with parking starting in the north JC Penney parking lot, going south (see flyer). The
distribution is open eligibility for all residents of Eastern New Mexico and West Texas with no
questions asked.
Cases will be designed to “load and go” in the participant’s car. Participants are asked to ensure
there is room in their vehicle, ahead of the event.
All non-profit organizations in the region with existing feeding programs can request cases of
milk ahead of the event. To request a donation, please contact fbenmprograms@plateautel.net.
