Extension Dairy Specialist to Speak at New Mexico Ag Expo Portales, NM — Dr. Robert Hagevoort, Extension Dairy Specialist at New Mexico State University, will present a seminar on “Air Quality Regulations Update” at the 2006 New Mexico Ag Expo in Portales, NM on February 22. Dr. Hagevoort’s seminar will be sponsored by Bill Johnston Auctioneers. The seminar will take place at 1:30 p.m. in the Cacahuate Room of the Jake Lopez Community Center on the Roosevelt County Fairgrounds. Hagevoort, a native of Holland, earned his bachelor’s degree from the Deventer (The Netherlands) College of Tropical Agriculture, a master’s degree in range nutrition and a doctorate in animal nutrition from Texas A&M University. Prior to coming to NMSU, Hagevoort worked in the dairy industry in the southern and central valley of California as an independent consultant and nutritionist. The 2006 New Mexico Ag Expo, sponsored by Plateau Wireless and Hamilton Automotive Group, will be held on February 21 and 22. Gates will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. |
