Women's Building and New Seminars Offer Diversity Portales, NMThe New Mexico Ag Expo, Feb. 22-23, 2005 Plateau Wireless and Hamilton Automotive Group (GM Country, Big Country Ford), offers quilt seminars along with an entire building filled with enticing booths offering a more diversified Expo for the entire family. The Women's Building sponsored by Print Shop hosts vendors representing varied non-agricultural related booth displays. Vendors will have western metal artwork, jewelry, crafts, quilts, and much more for display and to sell. Prairie Silver a returning favorite which has been a participant for the past several years and, will feature a wide variety of popular silver jewelry. LaMoin Gentile will teach a seminar on appraising quilts called "Why and How to Have your Quilts Appraised." According to Linda Custer, chairman of the quilting displays "Ms. Gentile will discuss the three types of appraisals and when each type would be appropriate." In addition, Ms. Gentile will teach a seminar with reference to a Judge's view, which will be a mini quilt show featuring challenge quilts from a local guild. Ms. Gentile will review the different techniques and how effectively the techniques were demonstrated in the small quilts. Admission is free to the Ag Expo and spectators can register to win a 16' stock trailer. Over 400 exhibitors are expected to attend offering the latest advancements and products made throughout the agricultural industry.
