Antique Tractors at the New Mexico Ag Expo
Portales, NM— Portales, NM hosts the 13th Annual New Mexico Agricultural Expo sponsored by Plateau Wireless and Hamilton Automotive Group (GM Country, Big Country Ford) to be held February 22-23, 2005. The Antique Tractor Show, parades, and games will again entertain and delight all ages of spectators as well as being fun for the exhibitors. Weldon Reed is chairman of the New Mexico Ag Expo Antique Tractor exhibits and parades. "This year's show and parade looks to be bigger than in the past. People enjoy seeing the antique tractors, watching the games and parades. The show changes daily as exhibitors come and go. The games and parades will be daily events.
The display will feature many different makes and models of antique tractors, however, John Deere and Farmall seem to be the most popular among exhibitors. All owners of antique tractors are welcome to display their tractors. There will also be representatives from tractor clubs around the area. Tractor games that will be featured are the barrel push, chain game, run and start and the backward barrel race. Another favorite is the slow race.
