New Mexico Ag Expo Celebrating 13th Anniversary Portales, NM — The 13th Annual New Mexico Agricultural Expo, slated for Feb. 22-23, 2005, is expected to draw more exhibitors and spectators into Portales this year than ever before. The event highlights New Mexico's agricultural industry. The show, sponsored by Plateau Wireless and Hamilton Automotive Group (GM Country, Big Country Ford) continues to grow each year by maintaining its original mission to connect New Mexicos agricultural industry with the latest in technology and service. Planning for the states premier agricultural trade show is already underway as vendor registrations begin rolling in. This years show will include new educational seminars and demonstrations offering a variety of opportunities for attendees. More than 400 exhibitors are expected to attend this year's show. Displays of products and services providing the latest in technology to the agriculture industry will highlight the show. Exhibitors will range from Moly Mfg., Inc of Lorraine KS., builders of livestock equipment, to Cleary Building Corp of Verona, WI, who has post-frame buildings for various purposes. Activities at the expo will include an antique tractor parade with games, a premium grade and registered dairy heifer sale, a DFA Dairymen's Lunch, educational seminars, a Parelli Natural Horse-man-Ship demonstration, and a chuck wagon lunch. The educational seminars address "Animal Identifications & More," "Vertebrate Pest Management", "Pesticide and Chemical Update," "Preventing Stolen Identity" and "New EPA CAFO Regulations." The woman's building will once again feature a quilt show, vendors and demonstrations that are always a hit with the ladies that attend the expo.
